Moser Family History

Corwin and Nora Moser… Daddy and Grampy, Mom and Grandma

Wilbur Moser had a love of all things history and especially the history of the Moser and Yost lineage.  He spent many hours researching our family’s roots.  Upon his death, I received all his research – a large plastic tub full of documents and floppy discs (for you young family members, a floppy disc was the storage mechanism before ‘the cloud’ came along) 🙂

Jacob Grunder, I, b. 1759, came to the United States from Canton Bern, Switzerland and settled in the Pattersonville area.

Jacob Grunder, II, b. 1798, in Switzerland and came with his father, Jacob I, to our area.

Jacob Grunder, III, b. 1834, in our area, had 6 children, one of whom was:

Anna Grunder b. 1860, married James Q. Moser. They had 6 children:

Ida, Charles, Eva, Bessie, Walter and …

Corwin – b. 1899, our Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, Great Great Grandfather and Great Great Great Grandfather.  As you all know, he married Nora Yost, b. 1905, and they had 7 children:

Ruth (Carl) Felger

Wibur (Pat)

Robert (Dorothy)

Mamie (George) Custer

Nellie

Corwin Jr. (Jean)
